Should I sell my x1900xt?

I have an 8800 GTX. I could sell it a couple of weeks before R600 and get a good sale, then get an R600 for minimum cost.

If I keep my old 1900xt I can use that to tide me over. Otherwise I can sell it now for £120ish

Waddiya think?

I would wait until R600 is actually out and then decide.

Actually, if it were me, I would just keep the 8800GTX. It's not like it's going to struggle any time soon.

Hell, I would just keep the X1900. But that's just me.

You've never seen a GTX ;) Its a different league.

Ah, but if I wait that long before I sell then I won't get much for the other two cards, will I?? Its all about timing here....

I'd say the 8800s have more depreciation to come than the x1900xt. I'd keep hold of the x1900xt until just before the RD600 card comes out.
Extremely hard-up people (such as my good self) will be looking to buy x1900xt cards when R600 releases, since I'm hoping that will be the time we see a flood of used x1900s hit the market :D

Unless, that is, there's a £150ish mid-range R600 based card released (not likely). I'm guessing anything with a R600 chip in it will be closer to £300+ and that mid-range R600 cards won't exist until mid-late 2007. But that could just be me being pessimistic :p

Then why are you so desperate to sell it? :p

Seriously just wait and see what R600 is actually like before you sell it. For all we know R600 could be a flop, we have nothing to go on yet.

im planning on selling my x1900xt too, if i sell now i should still be able to get around 100 quid for it. after xmas ill be lucky to get 80 quid for it seeing how prices drop real quick. and the release of r600 will devaluate the x1900xt more.

It's not for another two months!! If I can move over to R600 for less than £100 i might do it. Depends how good it is, but we'll know more in January :p

But the point is, I'd need to be selling the 8800 BEFORE its released, so I'd need a filler in the meantime.

I think you should sell it. The demand for 8800's is pretty high at the moment and you will get a good price for it.

If the r600 is any good most people will want that if it is in the same price range and you will lose more on your card when you sell it.

My x1900xtx handles everything fine at the moment so i think you 1900xt will be a perfect stop gap.

If you get a R600 when they come out thats is, Tell me how it performs on your x2 4600+ surly you wont notice much diff going from a 8800 to a R600, cos surly your cpu is just about up to its limet with the 8800 card? but it will be intresting to see if theres much of a diff, cos if there is I might aswell hold off buying the 8800 and go for the R600 for my fx55 cpu.. Keep me informed

Thinking of selling my X1900XT as well, cost me over £300 new

Big hit to take, but don't really game anymore on the PC..360 love in..Decisions decisions!
