Soldato
Right folks to start with I was given my 1986 Honda VFR750FG by my uncle who at the time couldn't ride it due to Arthritis and such.
So I Gladly took the bike and did some restoration to it.
Powder coated wheels
Sprockets and chains.
Brakes rebuilt inc lines.
Oil Filters and plugs changed.
General Good deep clean. and fixed a few other damaged parts.
He then went out and bought a 1998 Triumph 955i Anniversary Bike as his hands were not as bad as they had been.
The issue he now has is it will randomly cut out when idle, say you pull up to lights it just cuts out. No juddering or any sign of it. just a case of like someone has turned the key off. as soon as you press the start button you are fine. he is alos scared of it as it is to him to fierce and gets scared of it.
He has offered a straight swap.
Is it a good idea or not. I have grown fond of the vfr but at the same time I feel its not fast enough for me now and Im strangling it to much for a 24 year old bike. I also have no confidence in the silly 130 back tyre either.
