I've got my i5 2500k running sweet at 4.5ghz, but now that My rig feels really speedy, I am getting the upgrade bug for a gfx card god damn it!

I currently have a XFX RAd HD57701GB. I play wow going to be playing MW3 in august when released.

Is there any card out there atm that would be a massive increase for me at a bargain price? Or should i stick to the 5770 for a while. Money is not really a problem atm but I don't wanna spend anything crazy like 300 big ones!

What's your opinions guys?

Cheers
J

I personally went from a 5770 to 5850 and it was a nice little upgrade, but you don't see much difference in WoW as I didn't. Just benchmarking numbers shoot up quite a bit.

But, if money isn't so much an issue then perhaps get a 6950 and flash it? Assuming you'd like to stay red side as opposed to green side?

If it's not struggling atm then wait until nearer the time. If you can't resist then look at the 6950's, 560's and 480's (possibly also the 570's if they have come down in price since I last looked).

Well I know wow is more cpu intensive and This rig never goes below 60 fps ANYWHERE, which is awesome. I was thinking more along the lines of When MW3 is released. If iI waited till august i could possibly see myself spending 300 + on something as there is also June/July Pay days to add to it. When it comes to sides I'm not really bothered which brand i choose.

Im sure the new series of cards will be out in time for the new games for christmas, HD7xxx and the GFX6xx which will run cooler and hopefully faster. 300quid would get you a nice card or 2 nice cards in sli/crossfire. Your 5770 should be fine till the end of the year.. didnt it release along side BFBC2 ? like the 6800GT did for doom3 i could be talking out my ass but who knows :D

If you want a card now... 6950,480,580,570.. crossfire another 5770 with yours as there super cheap atm... il stop rambling now lol

I hope so too. Since the speed increase from last gen onto this gen cards was hardly impressive due to the cards still stucked on the aged 40nm process, I would most certainly expect that the 28nm next gen card would be much faster, consume less power and runs a lot cooler. Fingers-crossed for 28nm mid-range £200 issue card with GTX580 speed but consume less power and cooler-running :D
