Should I upgrade my AMD 7950 GPU?

I'm putting my trusty old 7950/7970 crossfire into my new x99 build. I was tempted to sink money on a gfx card but they perform so well that I can wait it out longer.

No good when you have the upgrade bug but I just can't justify it yet.
 
290x/390/390x are huge performance increases from a single 7950. Can't go wrong if you want a very big fps boost.

Nothing wrong with waiting for the next gen though, if you can put up with lowering some settings/fps drops etc.

One of the reasons I pick lower value components is I can scratch the upgrade itch more often. Expensive components with a long shelf life are no good, no good at all if half the fun of building your own PC is... building it. My last lasted 4-5 years. Much too long. Must... build....
 
Im running the 7950 but just got offered a cheap gtx 970 so just waiting on there new card arriving then ill get the 970... cant wait to see the difference.
