Should I upgrade my Graphics card?

I am going to be building a new rig (either BD or i5 2500k).

I already have a gtx 470 and I am wondering weather to just keep it, add a second or get rid and upgrade.

I only play at 1680 x 1050 and don't plan on getting a new monitor any time soon.

Do you think the GTX 470 is a keeper for the time being?

Keep it.

I will be keeping my 5870 when if I upgrade before the turn of the year to a BD or 2500k.

If you come accross future titles that the 470 struggles with, then, maybe sli or see what the new ATI/Nvidia cards are lke towards the end of the year..

Also at your res the 470 is even more of a keeper.

I would keep it, I have x2 470 in sli and it's playing all games without any problems I only tend to upgrade when it's no longer playing the games i like to a good lvl.

If it's performing as required, keep it. You can always overclock it if need be.

That card should annihilate any game at that resolution....no sense in wasting money.

I'm about to upgrade to a SB i5 2500K from whats in my sig but I am sticking with my 470 at least until Xmas time when I'll ponder whats going on with gpu's then. I dont even overclock my 470 yet and I'm playing Crysis 2.

if you can stand the noise and heat, then keep it. else swap it out for a 570.

Are there any games you play that are struggling?

Not atm but I am not playing anything newer than SC2 atm. It might change when I get my new rig and I buy The Witcher 2 and the other RPG's coming out at the end of this year/beginning of next =)
