I currently have a Netgear FA310 TX nic in my pc, it was ordered back in the days where NTL forced you to order a NIC and modem before accpeting a request to install broadband into your home ( I think was within the early groups of people to get NTL BB). So far the card has proved well and works every time.
I'm now starting to wonder if i will notice a network performance if i upgrade? Most of my latency times in games are fine and everything works.

Should i try and fix somehting that isn't broke? Any recommendations on a new card at all?

Thanks in Advance

Ain't broke, don't fix.

Sure, it's an old card, but if it's doing everything that you ask of it then I wouldn't bother changing it to be honest.

+1

As it's a 10/100 card (pretty good one at that), you wont see much of increase on your LAN unless your go over to gigabit and Internet wise, you'll see bugger all change IMHO.

does your mobo not have onboard nic? i have one of those old nic cards from the blueyonder days and switched to onboard gigabit nic back in the amd64 days.

never had an issue with onboard at all.
