Hi ladys and gents , My question is , Should i upgrade now or wait ?

I have had my pc now for about 3 years and i always run the games on 1680 x 1050 ( BFG 8800 GTX ) HPw2207H ( Top Screen i love it )

My system :

BFG 8800 GTX , Abit Fatality Board , Due 2 6600 , 4GB DDR2 PC2-8500 1066Mhz ........... ( F1 1T Sata Drive ).

All the games play are in res 1680 x 1050

The only games i play at the moment is Wow on max settings getting 60FPS , I also play MW2 on High settings and the game runs smooth .....

All the games out at the moment i have played have all worked perfect on High - mid settings so should i upgrade just yet or wait a-little longer for more games to use A : Dx11 & B: Quid cores ect ?

One game i am hoping my pc will run nice will be the New Battlefield BC 2 that comes out in March.

Game lists i play
Bio Shock = Max settings
wow = 60 fps
MW2 = High settings
COH = Max settings, Runs smooth
CSS = Max settings 100 FPS +
crysis = Max / Mid Settings

Its all good spending say £700 on a new pc but is it really worth it at the moment since there isnt any game my pc wont play ?

Cheers Jason.............. Comments and your advice would be very helpfull so please comment, Thanks

I'd say no. If you're running all the games you want at the settings you want then great. imho, when you're having trouble running games the way you want, then that's the time to upgrade. No point otherwise.

Directx 11 will take some time to become the 'norm'. There are very few titles which use it at the moment, but hopefully it will be adopted a lot quicker than DX10/.1.
True, there are games that do benefit from a Quad Core cpu (there are some which will only run on a quad core *looking at you GTA4*). But as said before, if you're running the games you want, the way you want, then I wouldnt see any reason to upgrade.

(could always OC that 6600, grab an extra bit of performance out of it :))

I would say hold on untill the new nVidia cards are out, then ATI prices will drop.

If your pc is fine for the games your playing don't upgrade for no reason.

You seem to be running everything at max settings with no problems.

Once your pc starts lagging behing in games that you're trying to run, then consider an upgrade.

As an alternative you could always overclock the cpu if it's running at stock. Most E6600's will hit 3.4-3.6Ghz easy enough. You will need a half decent cooler though.
