Should I upgrade to AMD 5700 from Nvidia 1060?

I currently have a Nvidia 1060 6GB and I was wondering if I should AMD 5700 XT. I don’t okay 4K gaming and I usual play at 1440p.

Should I upgrade or wait for the new AMD and Nvidia card?

No, I would wait in all honesty. End of the month we should know more about both AMD and nVidia cards and you can make an informed decision.

Don't. AMD is announcing their new GPUs later this month. You might as well wait a few weeks until after the announcement. If it's good, 5700XT owners might start panic selling their cards and you might be able to get one at a much cheaper price than you would now.

I've got a 5700Xt and won't be selling this round. I play at 1080P so it's more than capable of running games at high framerates and should last another year or two. The OP should still wait until end of October though since I expect the 5700 series to be shunted down to the lower segment if RDNA2 is good.

I've got a 4k asus monitor coming on Friday and I seriously doubt my 5700xt will cut really (but I'm open to being pleasantly surprised hopefully). I'll probably have to sell it on and get one of the new RDNA2 cards, 6900xt hopefully assuming the scalpers don't target those as well (but they probably will knowing my luck)

Only if your stupid frankly, the 5700xt is a better card but not by much and why would you bother with a new gen arriving shortly ?
