Hi Guys,

Currently running the following

Intel I7 920
Asus P6T SE Board
XMS 3 Ram (12GB)
Coolermaster V6GT CPU Cooler
ATI 4890 (1GB) Card
Antec 1200 Case

Anyway, just wondering if any of you think it's worth upgrading to the Asus Rampage III Board - and if I do will I notice a difference? If so would you advise me to upgrade the processor as well as looking at the I7 950, But dont know weather to hold out until after christmas in case Intel release any other new CPU?

Hope ya can help,

Gauron

short answer...NO and NO (for the I7950)

You might be able to squeeze a bit of a better overclock out but thats about it, the extra cost in my opinion isnt worth it, save your money for a new 6series graphics card when they come out.

What is your current OC?

I agree with the above your current board is adequate for your current set up. Someone will correct me if am wrong here but unless you are going for bigger overclocks with a better CPU then it is a waste. You may also want the new USB standard but again i would guess that you would not find a huge amount of use for it over what you currently have... i could be wrong

save for a new GFX is good advice assuming you have no other agenda other than the need to feed the upgrade bug.

why are you even thinking of upgrading?
No matter what you shouldnt upgrade mobo/cpu but if its gaming you could look at gfx card, either add a 2nd 4890 or sell that one and plump for something like a 470/5850/480/5870
