I currently have a X2 939 3800+ overclocked to 2.5Ghz, but knowing that if i want to upgrade my CPU without changing the MB i would need to act soon as 939 processors are on the way out.

So the question is do i buy a 4800+ and try to get it to a decent overclock (i have heard its not har to get to 2.7Ghz) or do i stick with my 3800+ @ 2.5Ghz?

What performance difference will i notice if any?

Thanks

Nothing tbh, the majority of Athlon 4800 wont clock higher than 2.7/2.8, been messing with my bro's 4600 this afternoon and got it to 2.8 currently stable 2hrs into testing so far, decided im not going to pay a silly premium for the 4800 when the 4600 seems to go higher. So going from X2 3800 with o/c 2.5 the diff will be so so very small. :)
