Hey all.

Been on a bit of a downer recently and need something to keep me mind occupied lol

My Current specs are as follows:

Pentium M 1.7ghz @ 2.4ghz (400fsb model 2mb cache)
asus p4c800 delux
1gb geil value
160gb samsung spin point 8mb cache hdd
x800pro 256mb

does me fine i think but need a bit more umth me thinks.

not really playing games as much as i used to due to my 360 lol

was looking at the "Ultima OC 8800GTS" Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.40GHz @ X6950+ 3.30GHz+ Quad Core SILENT DDR2 System

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 [email protected], Antec P900+600W PSU, 2GB 1066MHz DDR2, 500GB SATA2 HDD, DVD-Writer, NVIDIA 8800 GTS 320MB, Onboard 7.1 Audio, Gigabit LAN.
OcUK Value 10+ in stock £899.00
(£1,056.33)

or the

"Ultima OC HD 2900 Pro" Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.40GHz @ X6950+ 3.30GHz+ Quad Core SILENT DDR2 System

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 [email protected], Antec P900+650W PSU, 2GB 1066MHz DDR2, 500GB SATA2 HDD, DVD-Writer, ATI HD2900 Pro 512MB GDDR3 Graphics Card, Onboard 7.1 Audio, Gigabit LAN.

I dont have a "budget" as it were. just something to plan towards.

also another thing my media pc in my room has died so thinking about replacing that instead... tho my new laptop seems to be allowing me to do the job in my room for now (via extended desktop)

was looking at the latest shuttle xpc and a quad core 2.4ghz but not too sure about a xpc as a main system... tho i could just use that for the bedroom... im all at a loss..

do i even need to upgrade me main rig?

Many thanks
Soogs

If your system does everything you want then why bother to upgrade? If you are going for retail therapy then fine, I'm sure people here could specify you something suitable but it does sound like you will just be spending money for the sake of it. :)
