Im thinking of upgrading my cpu and/or motherboard but not really sure if its worth it, only use the system for playing games.

These are the 2 parts.
Dual core E6750 @ 3ghz
Fatal1ty FP-IN9 SLI Motherboard

According to this http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/mainboards/display/abit-fatal1ty-fpin9sli_4.html#sect0 the motherboard supports quad core, so i was thinking of just upgrading the CPU to begin with to something like this http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-155-IN&tool=3&groupid=701&catid=6&subcat=567 and then maybe upgrading the motherboard in a few months time (not exactly flowing with cash :()
Just not sure what to do about the motherboard. Would it be best to upgrade the motherboard at the same time as the CPU? and if so maybe it would be better if i went down the AMD route. Whats peoples suggestions?

Personally id stick with what you have for the time being, then consider a new board and cpu combo, if your primarily gaming a quad would be overkill, they only really come into their own in applications that make full use of four cores, at the moment there arent that many games that fully utilise 4 cores.

If you're going Quad Core, then it would seem quite pointless to upgrade from the E6750.

However, if you play Supreme Commander hardcore or something, then go for it :p
