arctic 5 is generally considered to be one of the best.
I have no experience with the gelid stuff but I think its a pretty safe bet the arctic 5 is better
i used the arctic5 following the guide online creating a 1mm line down center of the CPU - i didnt tint the HSF & CPU though cos i didnt have suitable cloth to remove paste - this reduces break in durations which is 200 hours for artcic 5 silver
While AS5 is tried and tested but a little out of date, go for MX4 no curing time, etc, lasts upto 8 years, very easy to apply. A small pea sized blob in the middle of your cpu, tight'n down your heatsink in the correct way as instructed, check your temps. Overclock your CPU about a weeks time tight'n the heatsink just a tad more as the TIM would have settled down.
