Mom got some antibacterial computer cleaning wipes which contain:

5-15% ethanol,
<5% non ionic surfactants,
EDTA,
perfume,
<5% benzalkonium choloride,
2-bromo-2nitropropane-1,
3-diol (disinfectants)

It says they can be used on the keyboard, mouse and monitor.

I'm a bit hesistant to use it on my VX922, what do u guys reckon?

I normally would use that on a Glass CRT (any of these Chemical type types that are sealed like medical supplies).

There is proper kits for LCD with a safe cleaner and a Microfibre cloth, most peeps use a Microfibre cloth and Water

yeah ive got that cloth, came with my brothers laptop. That's what I usually use too.

Also, you never want anything that has a perfume to be in contact with anything "expensive" as it will undoubtedly leave a residue. Same goes for cleaning the gunk off processors when re-seating a heatsink/fan combo.

If a straight microfibre cloth in water won't shift some stubborn finger/grease marks then you can get away with a 50/50 mix of water and Isopropyl Alcohol (make sure it's the decent high proof stuff though - most pharmacies either carry this in stock or can order it in for you. I paid £4.50 for 250ml last time I bought some).

Something for skin may put a coating of lotion on a LCD.

The common sence thing is to clean them with a Kit made for it, anything else your talking a risk to find out if its safe or not apart from water.

Just HHHHHHHHHHHHHHH on the screen where there are telltale marks and buff off with a microfibre cloth. Keeps my screen matt fine :D

i always use a micro fibre cloth dampened with warm water then use a second dry one to give it a buff over.
