Should I wait for Freesync?

I keep asking myself this, I really want to upgrade my monitor and am prepared to drop about £300ish on one. Should I wait for these new monitors to come out or splash out on a 120/144hz monitor?

Im in the same boat. I'm gonna wait until we see what Freesync is like and if it turns out to be a let down i'll get a gysnc screen and then a 970 when funds allow. Also very curious to see what the new high refresh rate IPS screens are like although i have no idea when they might be out.

think its just been ratified by VESA so yea.. wait
