Should I wait for January sales?

I am going to build myself a pc as my laptop is about 4 years old now so I was wondering when will the best sales be? Does OcUK do black friday or is that more of an american thing?
I am happy to wait till after Christmas if it would save me a few pennies but i'd prefer to get everything from OcUK.

Do what you feel like as there is always deals on saves here, more costs there so it really doesn't matter when you buy.

I'd wait until after, prices are not going to be the cheapest this time of year. People buying for christmas and retail are (understandably) cashing in.

Bount to have a boxing day bonanza or some such.

Only makes sense if you're buying at the top end, if you're buying at the midrange then buy now.

Why? Its usually the mid to low end stuff that gets discounted from my experience.

Internet shopping is a whole different thing to buying on the high street. Online retailers have to remain competitive 365 days a year.

Another thread on here suggested OC have a 5% off on Christmas Day... Do people think Boxing Day / January sales would beat this?

Get feedback on what happened last year? Sure there's no guarantee it'll be the same but it's a worthy question.
