should i wait on DX 10 for a laptop?

with new DX10 hardware just around the corner would it be worth waiting for DX10 laptops to come out? I am in no real need for one until near christmas so could hang off.

Are DX10 laptops expected to be availble soon? And by DX10 i just mean machines that are DX10 certified gfx cards etc

only if you are willing to spend an arm and a leg AND have a huge laptop AND have it as a desktop replacement. If you just need a laptop for work then get a small one and get a decent PC.

Wait until you need one. If you dont need it now you may as well wait, which will mean you could either buy the same model for prob a fair bit less, or the new upgraded version of what ever it is you're looking at now.

I dont think DX10 is particularly worth holding out for now. Seeing as how Vista beta fancy bits seem to work fairly well on DX9 cards I cant see DX10 being a must have for a while to come, especially on laptops which already have a limited gaming appeal IMO...

X1600, yum! I cant believe this didnt get seem to on the latest mbpro upgrades! Surely this is going to put a lot of people off, I know its making me look into the sonys...
