Ok so I bought this in 2011

I have it on pretty much 24/7.

Last night it was making a really loud grinding noise so I shut the PC off and pulled the kettle lead.
Woke up this morning and checked for any leaks etc, no leaks.
Turned the PC back on and again the same grinding noise was apparent, googled it and I found various new owners had the same issue but it was down to air being trapped, although that wasn't concluded as the definite cause.
Tilted my pc this way and that to see if it made a difference, no difference. Left it running for 5 min and the grinding disappeared and it is now as quiet as it has ever been.

Should I be worried?

Not the same but my H80 in the spare rig can grind, flicking the pipe can cure it (or cause it if there's no grinding). Afaik it was common for the corsair units back when I got it nearly 2 years ago.

Yeah, I just thought it was odd because I've owned it for 2 years now and it is the first time I had heard it.
Coupled with the fact a colleague bought a CoolIT one and that leaked all over his PC destroying most of his components it had me a bit worried :p

Definitely keep an eye on the pump rpm. If the pump fails the increase in coolant temperature is what causes ruptures and leaks.

I had that in my i60v2 few months ago, didn't really bother with it, it usually showed up during boot and never lasted for long.
