Should I ?

Im in the same boat, just reading up on some tests and looks like the 5870 xfire is faster but im that ****ed at xfire drivers think im going to take the performance loss and go 470 sli

I know the feeling, my 5970 has been having problems in 10.7 and now 10.8.

Selling could be a problem if the person is aware of ATi's fail rate with driver releases atm.

I'd suggest sticking with Xfire 5870s. You'll always make a loss selling them, and despite recent driver advances GTX470s in SLI are only par with them. So, if you do any of the above you'll lose money and get no extra performance!

Keep the 5870s and wait for the 6 series to come out, then sell and get a nice shiny new 6 series card

There must be a reason why the OP wants to sell, is it drivers? performance issues, it's alright saying 470 SLI is on par with a 5870 xfire but we all know in the driver department you get more pain with xfire than SLI.

Agreed with Mojo, no point messing about with the green especially since the 6 series are so close now. If the 6 series are bad then go green otherwise i'd consider the new 6 series when they come out.

Raven, anything that the 480 doesn't do well in blows according to you! Typical.

Agree, nothing to be gained by B or C unless you specifically want cuda, physx etc.

Either way what ever I do I'm going to loose money and performance unless I sli 480's or xfire a 6sereise card

You're going to lose even more money when the 6000 cards hit and overlocked 470's in SLI easily beat out 5870 xfire even when clocked, better minimum fps and more consistent performance to boot. No issues regarding power management functions either.
