should my AX 850 make cap/coil whine at idle?

Just wondering If I should RMA to corsair or not, my old HX 620 was completely silent

This AX 850 has mild audible high pitched whine at idle, what you guys reckon?

For £150 PSU thats unacceptable i think.That whine is terrible and its the the reason i had to RMA 2 ATI 4890.It will be audible over everything once you start to notice it.

I too think it's unacceptable, especially in a watercooled rig its really noticeable even though in real terms, it's not 'that' loud.

However considering its their premium line this does not bode well.
Do I just contact them directly?

bah i'm gonna have to take the system offline to do it all
