Hey All,

Here are my screenshots from cpu-z.

I have 4GB Corsair Dom PC2-8500 C5 1066 memory with an Asus P5K and Intel E6550 CPU. Shouldnt my memory be quicker than whats being displayed.

Yup it should. Got a E6750 with PC6400 (400MHz) and its running at 400MHz. Maybe you need to change the dividers on the motherboard? Although, would have though it would be auto.

Yup you should be able to, its called something different in the bios though. Cant be much help as I haven't overclocked a c2d yet. Does your motherboard support 1066 ram? If not thats more than likely why it doesn't auto detect to that speed. Oops, just noticed you have a P5K too and that does support it.

I have looked in my BIOS and I have an FSB strap to northbridge option set to AUTO.

Should I configure this manually, options are 200, 266 and 333.

Should set it manually if you want high clocks, don't have that mobo though so not sure about voltage options for P35

I have just turned my FSB back upto 400 and my dram is at 1000MHz.

My northbridge voltage is on auto and has 1.25, 1.40, 1.55 and 1.70 as options available.

I also have a northbridge voltage reference option which is set on auto but has 0.67x and 0.61x as options.
