I think the ocuk forums should go subscription only, say access for 30 days for £4.99.

This would surely get rid of all the kids and morons leaving only the good people left to post and make a telling contribution.

The added revenue could be used to discount products and run high quality competitions for the remaining high brow users left.

What do you think?

Maybe a one off payment, but £4.99/month is too much.

On a different but related note, personally, I'd rather at the very least that you must be logged in to view the forums. When someone is banned/suspended they still have the 'benefit' of the forum but just without posting rights simply by logging out.

If I needed help with something and had to pay £4.99 to get help then I would just go ask on another forum. It would get rid of morons and kids, but also keep away new people who may not be morons or kids.

How is this an issue? People like to lurk and read threads without an account, I did for a while.

Also, what's with the assumption that morons and kids don't have a fiver?

What about the normies who don't have, or can't justify a fiver to waste a bit of time on a forum?

Ridiculous idea.

Also, I wouldn't be here! If they didn't do that, (they will always keep this free) then I would never buy from OcUK again.

No, I wouldn't pay for it and I think everyone would agree that I'm one of the best posters here.

Right guys?
