Should OCUK forums go subscription only?

It's a public forum, I would go and join another forum and then realize that most of the people there (from experience) make very vague answers, imaging General Hardware without stulid?

Actually, if you do that then I would just be sitting down and have no knowledge about computers, 70% came from here
20% from other people
10% random websites

Digital Spy have a fairly good system whereby it's free to sign up if you use an email address associated with your broadband account but charge a sign up fee of a fiver if you sign up with a Hotmail/Gmail/Yahoo type account.

It's not fool proof though, free AOL addresses are the same as the ones that their customer have and you often get more than one address from your ISP but I guess it does at least slow spammers down.

I have a DS account and didn't pay anything....(gmail)
