Should there be fingerprints on new hardware?

Just opened my new Asus Maximus VII Ranger motherboard box and noticed there is no seal on the anti static bag (is this normal?) and when I had a good look at the board I noticed a few fingerprints. There is a big one right over the chrome coloured supreme FX chip.

Anyone else had this? I can't test it yet and wont be bothered if it all works fine, but just seems a bit odd. Hope it's not a return.

If anyone has had the same board recently it would be good to know whether they had a seal on the antistatic bag and if there was any scratch protector film on the heatsinks as mine doesn't have any on.

Would I be liable for the return postage? I'd prefer to just keep it if it works ok as it's a PITA sending it back. Just makes me wonder the reasons why it could have been sent back such as not clocking well etc.

Used it in a recent build. Can confirm there was protector film on both heatsinks. Seal on anti-static bag I couldn't tell you, as I don't remember either way. In any case, it's been used. If sold to you as new, I'd send it back on principle.
