Should we block up our letter boxes?

yes it is, I live in SW London in an obviously worth it marketing area, the amount I get per day is ridiculous, it ends up underneath shoes in the hall etc.

Same here (though not London). Constant stream of junk mail, take-away flyers, etc.. Never thought of blocking up the letter box though - nice idea. Tempting.

Given the government want to clamp down on adblocking, it's only a matter of time before all hallways are fitted with CCTV so they can monitor you and you're not allowed to throw anything away until you've read it. :p

I pay £29/month to access the internet, so I feel that adblocking is warranted. I'll keep Google's text-based ads up but I find the graphical ones distracting. If the gov't wants to catch me, good luck, because I'm behind a paid VPN :-) However, I think the gov't's priority is to spend some of that money reducing austerity measures not catching petty adblockers.

P.S. I don't mind other types of advertising e.g. billboards, at bus stops, on the side of a bus and on other forms of transport.

If any mail is returned from your bank they will close your account. As a frequent traveller ask me how I know ;)

I want to see a service like the postal service offer in Switzerland and Finland, where you can pay say €15 a month and all your mail is held, scanned and emailed to you.

If you have a wood burner, rip up and put all the spam paper into a bucket with water. Once full.... Mulch it all up and then compress into blocks and allow to dry.

Bingo, got yourself some dense fuel blocks for winter.

(saw this guy doing it on the youtubes as a money facing tip)

It's supposed to cause more issues with the chimney with soot build up, more risk of chimney fires, more money having it swept.
