I thought my ram run at 800mhz?

and I also thought my CPU would be running at 1.8 :/

Even though I intend to try and get closer to 3.2 muahaha

What setting is it in the bios to stop the multiplier dropping to 6? will this up the RAM to 800?

Cheers,

G

As concerns to the CPU, there is power management inplied in the BIOS, which just reduces the settings when there arnt needed as much. If you wish you can disable the settings Speedstop and C1E if it is in the BIOS, which will sure your actually speed all the time.

Speed step adjusts the CPU multi ratio depending upon CPU load.
It works very well, and if you find it working with an overclocked setup , then be happy and leave it as it will do nothing but good for your system/CPU temps.
if you wish to make sure its working, leave CPUid open, and then run something like OCCT and watch the mult jump up and CPU actual speed increase.

question from seeing that, i allways thought it was the cpu bus speed and ram frequency that should be 1:1 scaling, but there it looks like its fsb.
in other words if your bus speed is 400mhz (and say youve got it multipled by 8 for an OC) then your best with pc6400 stuff for 1:1 scaling...

am I just getting uber confused now?

nah you are right fopr a 400mhz overlcok then for 1:1 you need pc6400

whats confusing you in them pics is that cause he has the power saving feature on it has halfed the speed of his cpu so in effect his cpu is running at 200mhz fsb now and to keep it at the 800 the ratio is now 1:2 instead of 1:1
