i have had my macbook pro now for a few months and really like but just been to have a look at the air and i think i have fallen in love with it should i sale my pro and get a air
only really use my mac for web etc no games or any thing

if you're just using a mbp for web browsing then I'd say sell it and buy a standard macbook and spend the rest on coke and hookers.

Not worth it mate imo, you will regret it further down the line, fair enough the MBA is sexy but then so is the MBP, and by changing your getting less power. As already said:

"I wouldn't dream of it" :) and neither should you ;)

Unless you really really don't need the extra power of the MBP then I think you'd be mad to trade. If you're that desperate for a small laptop then save up a couple of hundred quid and buy an eeePC and keep the MBP.

LOL I hope to God you're joking, there isn't a single reason to get the Air over the Pro, barring the fact the Air is thinner, which isn't much of a selling point taken into account the Pro is already quite thin!

why bother even having a mac if your just web browsing tbh. Go get a cheapy laptop from pc world or something.

Those EeePC's look cool for light, portable computer use. I could do with a spare laptop for when the Missis is in bed with the MacBook. Anybody use one?

I've used one but don't own one and for web browsing and checking email they are great. You could watch films on them although you might want to hold out for the 9" screen version if you are going to do that a lot.

The Eee's are good for most things really, im using it now and use it quite often.

Only thing you're limited on is the processor, so hungry apps wont be able to run too well.

Well I had a MB and a MBP and am typing on a MBA at the moment. For what I do, the MBA is brilliant. And it isn't "slow" as everyone else says. It is at least as fast the MB in terms of performance, even if not on paper. And, it hasn't once been embarrassed by the pro's performance.

Depends what you are doing with it, its not slow for general use but if you are going to be doing a lot of photo/video editing then you will notice the difference. If you just want a slim laptop for everyday use then it's a lovely bit of kit (albeit over-priced at the moment IMO).

You're right.

The MBA looks pants on paper, but in real life they're not bad at all. Similar to the MB performance.

To the OP, it depends on your needs. If you really need the portability, then go for the MBA but if you need the power stay with the MBP.

IT would probably feel like a downgrade.

As said matey, its all about what you use it for.

MBA will be superb for day-to-day affairs.

Just to compare, I have had a Sony Vaio TR1MP, 900mhz Centrino - 1GB - 30GB 4200 -.

This was brilliant for surfing, chatting, music and photo's. Ya know, normal stuff.

If thats all you use the MBP for then go for it, and pocket the cash.
