Anyone bought shovel knight ? If they haven't then you should do this immediately! It's less then 10 quid atm and it's one of the best games of last year, so addictive. I only just bought it over Christmas so not very far but I'm already addicted :)
 
I've heard it's great - it's on a lot of "Best Games of 2014" lists. Will certainly pick up at some point, but have a bit of a backlog to clear first :)
 
I purchased it last night on the eShop when I saw it on sale, I always planned to get it at some point so am looking forward to playing it. How difficult are people finding it?

There are only a couple of games I'd like to play/finish first before I start it - fortunately I have my purchase habits under control, so don't have much of a backlog.

I've not done much just the 1st few levels .. seems like the levels get harder and harder, last one had some pretty difficult bits to it , but there pretty kind with the checkpoints , although each time you die you lose money ! Really addictive though :)
 
I think I've seen this on about 10 best of 2014 videos and i just dont see the appeal. But its also hard to avoid all the praise. Is it really that good?
 
It's fantastic - it knows what to borrow from old games and where to do things differently. And it's funny. If you don't like the aesthetic then you might not get on with it though.

Exactly this ^^^^^ ... and for an indie game it's so polished , minus the graphics which are done on purpose it's better game play then a lot of the aaa titles from last year , it's not trying to do too much it just knows what type of game it is and pulls it off perfectly :)
 
Haha I'm the same, but this is a good game to just pick up n play a level or so, even tho it turns into a couple of hours before you know it ! :D .... The wii u gamepad was a great invention , just sat in bed playing shovel knight , mk8 , super smash bros etc is ace !
