Hi All

So weve had some house improvements, kitchen extended 1.5m into the garage...which means my garage now is around 3.5m by 2.5m wide...im looking to maximise the storage at the back wall....even up high as well at the back with the rest i want a small gym which i believe i can achieve, stand alone bike and a small weights section...so the question is...

Lets see your garage organisational skills....storage solutions, racking, maximisation of space...plus any links to the products

Screwfix have a sale on for the plastic racking shelves.

Good enough for most needs i would imagine.

I have one already but i did see the thread the other day for some metal racking 90cm wide by 30cm deep but the plastic racking i have is much deeper than that and i would like some cheap solution but more sturdy to match

Im also thinking about some ceiling storage, how i could make this happen, im looking for some inspiration

I've got three or four sets of the cheap Screwfix 4 tier plastic shelving which are OK. You need to be able to use the retaining clips and secure them to a wall though if you're planning on putting lots of heavy things on.

Not in my garage, but I've used the shelving from these guys before and it was decent enough for what it is: http://www.bigdug.co.uk/shelving-c2 Takes longer to assemble, but the end product is far sturdier than the £15 plastic shelving as you'd expect.

Look decent...im going to see what i actually need later on this evening...start to organise the damn garage a bit more :-)

I bought three long wall mounted metal strips from Homebase with the corresponding triangular clip in mounts and shelves which are doing the job very nicely. The shelves are 6 feet long so the third strip in the middle allows heavy things to be placed without the shelves bowing. I suppose a lot depends on what you want to store in them, but I'd always get metal wall anchored shelving if you've got heavy stuff like full paint tins etc.
