Show off your 5090s thread!

I changed my case today from a Montech King Pro to the Antec Flux Pro and i have seen a substantial drop in temps on my Zotac 5090 amp. I am quite shocked at how much a case swap has made to my temps.

What idle temps are people getting with there 5090s ? currently at 39c with edge web browser open with youtube playing.

Around the same temps as I was getting when I had the Palit with fans blowing into the vent of the GPU if yours are doing the same, also stopped my fans from kick starting when not gaming.

I was sitting at 40-50c with multiple browsers and apps open :)

Gaming was at 55-80c though depending on the game.

Ended up asking to return the 5080 I bought and got my 5090 Solid today, this card is just insane really but I do unfortunately have some coil whine

Will post some pictures tomorrow, just too excited after such a long wait staring at a 5090. Just finished my first gaming session on my water cooled Palit 5090 with OC 600w bios flash. Little test run to make sure temps are good etc. Coil whine is barely audible close to the open test bench, which is what gets me most nervous about a new card. OC 200 core 2000 memory. 1hr30 playing Black ops 6, highs: core temp 41, water 33, power 475w. Bounces between 350-400 for the most part at 39-40 degrees.

EK 5090 FE Waterblock finally arrived last week after a few months delay ( ordered March ) , installed it yesterday and pretty happy with the temp reduction although i will open it again to change to a softer pad and remove the rubber gasket in case it is causing contact issue but currently seeing a 15 deg c delta at 600w but more like 7-8 deg c at 450w in games and memory junction around 20degs over water give or take ... i used Conductonaut extreme LM and Gelid Ultimate Thermal pads ( will swap to extreme when i redo it ) ... few pics

Gigabyte 5090 Gaming OC (horizontally fitted of course ). Giving me about 35% more performance than my Asus TUF 4090 in the same rig before. Bought the EVO Version of the O11D for the extra 12mm between the GPU and glass side panel. Also upgraded my fans to magnetic bearing reverse fans for better cooling and aesthetics

Still building with bits everywhere, still need to tidy wires etc and move into place, fix rgb to purple, but 90% done. Will finish at the weekend and take some pics of the finished build. Just about to jump into Alan Wake 2 test the cooling.

Mo-Ra > 2x D5 > 360 > 240 > 5090 > cpu > AC high flow next > 360 > MoRa using Aquero 6 with aquasuite for control

Tested out the cooling on Alan Wake 2. Game was bouncing between 530-570w. After 1.5hr, water temp high 34.3, gpu high 45 but mainly 43-44. Still a little bleeding to do, and i used PTM so not sure if that will improve slightly after a couple of gaming sessions. Will try turning the pumps down to minimum for a gaming session to raise temps to break in the PTM :D

sounds like you got a good delta on the core /water temp :) what are the memory temps sitting at out of interest ?

Nice. Got my FE block on ore order still.

How was install? I'm planning to keep the gasket and LM rather than clean it all off.

Hopefully won't be too long for you to receive it ...

Yeah install wasn't bad tbh , the worst part and the part I struggled with the most was removing the heatsink from the frame of the card . Derbauer explains how to remove it in his video but its still very tricky when in hand reason being is at that point in the strip down the i/o ribbon cable is just dangling free and very easy to catch it and bend it backwards as I did with mine but luckily it still works  just pay a lot of attention at that point and you will be fine .

I kept the gasket on mine but will remove it this weekend to see if i can get the temps any better , they are certainly not bad as it is with a 15 deg delta between water and core temp at 600w but im not 100% if its got perfect contact either... also changing to a softer thermal pad to see if it helps , will report back what it does :)
