E8500 at 4.3 on air!! first oc and im proud! 1.31v max temp ive see is 65 after an hour of assasins creed, atm just surfing web its at 41

best thing is i could go a olot further methinks
 
I've had my £30 Core2Duo running at 3.33GHz before. Required crazy volts though, and didn't perform massively better than the 3GHz I have it at now.

Cheap CPUs running at high-end speeds is what overclocking is all about imo. :D

P.S. Why does firefox spell checker think "overclocking" is a made-up word, but "Core2Duo" isn't?

I reckon you can push it a little more as well maybe 4.5 like mine....but nice voltage for 4.3.

hi again dealz, 4.5? u gotta be kiddin what voltages and temps? watercooled yet? na cba not worth it for 200Mhz no real performance gain but more risk

hello again...Yep 4.560 the voltage is 1.36v (CPU-Z) and temps i get 37-42 idle and at load playing a game i get around 55c....not watercooled yet.
 
E6600 @ 3.717ghz, B2 stepping which I believe isnt the good 1? :-D

1.536 volts - A lot, but keeps amazingly cool with me tuniq

100% stable, if I try anymore boots, but can't stress.

Anyone no if intel GULFTOWN will fit directly into socket 1366?!

hi croggy i think you have got to many lines in your signature....you got 8 lines....max is 4....someone else correct me if a wrong.
