Looking for something that will be of legal font with my own slogan underneath.

I gather you have to have an authorized plate's manufacturer postcode on a legal plate.

I just want a show plate that looks legal and I can fit at a show.

Cheap as possible it is a cheap banger I am showing.

Not more than £20 would be lovely.

never been able to understand why you need manufacturer postcode on your plates :S (apart from it being the law)

If it looks legal, then why just use it for show? Loads of cars on the road have a witty slogan instead of the supplying dealer advert on the bottom.

I've used FancyPlates before. Got one that's a bit smaller than standard (but not so small it's taking the ****), and not got the manufacturer or BSAU on it... had it on my 182 over for over a year without problem.

If you're only going to fit it at shows why bother? Just get the slogan wrote in larger letters over the whole plate?

A slightly grey area, It will be technically on the road as the show is in my town centre closed off area.

I will drive there and back on my plates, but it will be officially parked on the road whilst on show. I am 99% sure I will get no trouble but it only takes a rookie, Hitler cop too fine me. Just not worth the fine.

After the dismay of seeing "MOTAMAN" printed on the bottom of the plates I had made for my private reg, I got a set made on No1 showplates online, also moved the spacing along one character and put my name on the bottom.

Been driving round with it on there for 7 years and never been pulled for it once (touch wood). When I got pulled for speeding the officer didn't mention it.
