*** Show us your bikes! ***

It only attaches on one side (cannot be swapped afaik), into the engine mount and swing arm mount on most bikes.

On some bikes (my old s1000rr for example) there is a little lug that you put into replace the engine mount nut and it mounts into that.

After getting to 48,000 miles on the old one I got a new one. It's the 2015 Motorsport edition with everything on it. And awesomeness.

The 'shift assist' is pretty great now I'm getting used to it, though will be adjusting the lever position as my feet are smaller than the average German I think!

Maidenhead, or Thames Valley Bahnstormer I think they called. They're good people. I dislike North Oxford. And most of the others tbh! Glad I found a good one finally.

Tasty. I toy every now and then with changing the S1000RR with a K1300S. Out of interest, did you have much go wrong with your previous one over the 48k miles?

I took the baffle out yesterday. Yet to ride it but it's sounding much more hilarious so far!

Hah, I occasionally toy with the opposite idea... then decide it'd be a second bike only once I have a garage! :)

Regarding reliability nothing major happened that I can recall right now. I had the bmw insured warranty, which got used when I purchased it to replace the front shock. Other than that a few recalls and that's it. I averaged about 300-450 quid per service (6k) and most of the time that included me paying 80 quid to their guy to clean, strip the brakes, acf etc. I wasn't particularly precious with it.

Only just now saw this area on the forum and thought I would say hello!

I passed my DSA at 21 back in 2012 and bought this lovely old bird from my Lecturer at college. A VFR-750F RC36 imported from California.
Great first bike with just the right amount of power and even after doing 56k miles still ran perfectly.

However I was given the chance on my birthday in 2014 to purchase this beast instead on finance, a 2008/57 plate gen 2 Hayabusa.
Took a couple for a test ride at suzuki and immediately fell in love with their handling and performance. That, plus black bikes are faster right?

It originally came with "Sookie" on the sides, but it quickly got old and so I replaced them with the original Hayabusa Kanji that is so distinctive of the bikes.

This is how it looks now, I plan on removing the rusted brackets and bolts and replacing them with stainless steel or anodised parts.
When I bought it, everyone said that I wouldn't see my 24th birthday, I don't ride stupidly and I know what these bikes can do.
So I am glad I proved them wrong, parents probably are as well.

23,oh I was mad at that age:D

nice machine just be careful on it,and pick nice straight open roads if you wanna open it up ect,

Traction control on that? Come winter mine occasionally kicks in when I'm ... ok being silly generally. But now and then when I don't expect it.
