I have also noticed something wrong with the exhaust pipe too, could this become a potential issue and be expensive? Circled in red.

I think the exhaust is just the gasket corroding? they are usually a graphite and wire mesh mix,might just need replacing if its too unsightly,roughly a tenner they cost

if you ever get the silencer off clean it all up with some fine wire wool,it will look like new again,maybe replace the gasket if it needs one

EDIT: heated grips too,such luxury
 
Thank you both. :) Mileage is higher than i wanted but i only paid £3250 for the bike so i can't complain!

I'll be swapping the exhausts to some arrow cans, That'll be the best time to change the gasket?

Some other things i want to change are the levers, get rid of the replacement seat cover and fit the pillion seat back on, change the grab rail for a black one and maybe fit some better mirrors. :)
 
@Clovis, that looks mint! Get all full black dainese leathers, black shoei helmet with dark tinted visor and become a night rider :cool: :D

:D I have an all black shoei helmet and a smoke screen visor, also black textile RST jacket :p I don't want to be all back though, too risky when riding at night!

Yes you should change the gaskets when you change exhausts.

The pillion seat is under the cover, so I'm not sure what you mean about fitting a pillion seat as it's already there.

The official shorty levers and bar end mirrors are fantastic.
 
@Clovis, get the Rizoma knockoffs that tom_e bought and along with that CNC shorties. Save yourself money :)

I would add a little bit of red to the bike though, all black is too stealthy.

I wasn't aware it was just a cover, shall be removing that soon. :)

Are those stock cans? They sound a bit naff if I'm honest.

A Spring meet up must be planned for everyone on these forums.

Tbh i am a little :D but that's a good thing, it means i'll settle into it, rather than taking it out the first day and doing triple digits down the DC. :p
