My god some lovely bikes on here.. I really need to sort doing my licence.. Any advice how to convince parents? ha.

"I'm getting my bike licence" was my angle :p

Although my dad was a biker back in SA & took my Mum everywhere on the back so they didn't mind at all. If they had, my "I'm getting my bike licence" approach would have been the same.

Same here, but they did say they won't give me a penny towards anything bike related. Unlike a car which they offered to buy for me... My dad said, you can make your own decisions as its your money. If my granddad didn't stop him from getting a bike when he was younger, I would probably have someone to ride with more often. :(

I'm the only child and the only grandson... that doesn't help either, neither does the crash my uncle had in the military on a bike where he and his mate stopped on a tree. He was lucky, as he's still alive and not disabled. Every time I mention a bike, they tell me this story over and over again....

@Jacksonn, BTW Wait till you're 24, you can take the DAS. A2 is a waste of time in your case. I would just get a 125 to see if you like the riding a bike idea. ;)

I know I'm 23 haha, however.. My mothers response was you get a bike we don't talk ever again. lol.

She is 100% against the idea, being her only son ect. Family deaths because of riding.

And yeah, while saving for a better deposit I do still live there ha, so would be a litttlleee awkward ha!

Don't think I've ever posted the gixxer in here

It's a K7 750 Isle of Man Edition - owned for about 6 years now, still looks near new, plenty of mods and upgrades, still a cracking piece of kit on the road and track - Managed to get it up to 140 bhp at the rear wheel with some re-mapping
