Not where I'd like to be
I think i preferred the look of the previous style Z's. But cool nonetheless.

When does the can go and get replaced with something far more suitable?

I will be changing it eventually but not sure what for for now. I do like the Akrapovic and I may wait to see if Kawasaki do a deal on them later in the year (they may do if sales are not great on those cans) which means they would be cheaper for us to buy in and cheaper for customers. I can live with it for now.

Nice

Didn't fancy the green framed version? Absolute hoot to ride though, I really enjoyed the demo I took out.

I could have had any of the 3 colours but it's black for me.

Regarding the Z's Do they feel any lighter these days? Steel frame and all.

Regarding exhaust. I went with best of both worlds and chopped up the baffle.

The weight of the Z800 always put me off having one but this is 210kg, 20 lower than the Z800, so I can manoeuvre it to get it in my porch easily. At my age 20kg less makes a huge difference.

In it's new home

Kawasaki Ninja 650 2017.
Had a Bandit 650, Hyosung GT250r Suzuki GSR600 and Hyosung GT125R in the past.
Cracking bike, handles really well even with the crappy Dunlop D214's and great on fuel as my daily commuter.

67 bhp is more than enough for commuting. The torque is fantastic, it's smooth for a twin.
And no not my first bike. Had a Bandit 650 before it, nice and smooth on the motorway but handled like a aircraft Carrier due to the weight.

After 2 and a half years of owning my '97 CBR600F which was my first bike after passing my test, I decided a month or two back it was time for a change.

I test rode a few different bikes, and this is the one I chose. I picked it up after work yesterday and I'm besotted with it.

2011 Street Triple R with about £1500's worth of extras on it. The decatted arrow cans sound insane. :D
