The S1000(X) motor does have some buzz, but for me, oddly it's never a problem while riding; only after getting off, when everything I touch for about 20 minutes afterwards feels like it has haptic feedback.... Not a big problem though honestly.

Hey some heated grips or heated gloves.

Cold hands really increases the damage/effect of vibrations on your nerves

I've had this for about 3 years now. Maybe not the fastest but plenty for me and I still love the way it looks.

Quite nice seeing yourself in action - no knee down for me, but both sides of the tyre are fully scrubbed - that's plenty enough fun for me these days :D

Looking good, now you just need a tail tidy.

I've decided to build a home gym instead of swapping bikes for next year so I won't be joining you with a Street Triple.

(they'd better not add a blipper and cruise control next year!)

You know they will, just to **** you off :D

I actually don't mind the tail on this, I think it suits the bike, and the mahoosive plate also doesn't irk me enough to do anything about it.

Offer was accepted on ebay for the rally above, only has 900 miles on it, seat concepts seat, tail tidy, almost new condition for a good price, very happy. :)

Lovely bike! 250 or 450? If you plan on doing big miles look at seat comfort options. Currently sitting in the waiting room for an MRI as my DR800 seat caused a trapped nerve in my pelvis!

I've only just noticed the Learner knee pads :D I've looked at the image a lot too :p

Had them for years :D I keep expecting a telling off from plod, but I doubt they notice either - probably get pulled now, for tempting fate :(

It's only a 250, the aftermarket seat concepts one that's on it is meant to be very good.
Enjoy :)

I'd recommend getting some rust protection on as many metal parts as you can. When I bought my crf I spent about 5hrs coating it and there isn't a spot of rust on it. I used 3M 08901 sprayed in to the lid and applied with a brush / cotton bud.
