Nice. Not an EXUP 1000 but an FZR400RR.

I still think they look fresh and modern today despite being years and years old.

Tried to remover the pillion foot rests today. Did one side and then the other are behind the exhaust pipe so they'll be staying for the mean time!

Very nice! Have been looking for one of these for a few weeks... they seem to sell REALLY quick, and are quite expensive to insure. Mind if i ask how much it set you back? Looks like a very clean example :)

I decided against one in the end, and on friday put a deposit on a K6 GSX-R600... such lovely bikes, will post pics up when i get it :)

I paid £3200, with tax to pay at the end of next month. Was from a dealer actually so has been serviced & MOT'd. Has 21,700 odd miles. It is a quite tidy example though the calipers need touching up with some fresh paint as do a few parts on the swing arm. There's a long scuff down the right side lower fairing (black plastic so like £50 to replace) and also a small crack in the fairing just by the clutch. On the whole though it'd nice and clean and I didn't want anything 'perfect' for my first bike as the inevitable will happen at some point so it'd only be more frustrating & upsetting!

Make sure you do!

It's a fantastic bike I had the chance to properly open it up today a few times and also am a bit more confident in my cornering & leaning to it's becoming more and more fun

Thats a brilliant price for one of those, i was finding them around 4-4.5k.

The GSX-R was a good find... 06 plate, totally clean, aftermarket scorpion can woth around £400, only 5k miles, few other bits... got it for £4150 :D

I currently have a '99 ZX6R, and love the top end when you hit about 9-10k RPM the thing flies, i hear the 636cc ones have a bit better mid-range though, which i'd have liked!

Sounds like a bargain!

Yeah the mid range is good and once you're over 9k it just goes like stink. I used to let off around 8/9k due to lack of confidence now I'll take it right up to 15k, the beginning of the redline  I heard they stopped making them for the racing series as they were too fast?!

Would love to have a good look over an R6/R1 at some point.

Erm...was that you injured in the road?

Sadly :( You can thank a guy in a people carrier for that one - illegal turn on a roudabout as I was in this blindspot :( Long story, and don't want to thread-jack; think there's a few of my posts around re. the accident though (and two more I had - at fault those times!)

Had a bit of a clean of mine today, and a check over, ready for it's MOT tomorrow.

It will be the first time I've ridden it in about 6 months :O. Havn't had the chance to take it over to Germany with me, so has been in my garage in Liverpool, such a waste! Will be giving it a trashing this week though :D.
