Hey everyone, It's December the 1st so you gots to do the right thing and deck your living room out with all the decorations you can find! Here's my uni living room, lets see yours :D

P.s. I lost the cable to my other/non blurry camera in case you were wondering.

Have to see if I still have my 4 " Christmas tree from last year and the lights around the window. Apart from that I don't bother either.

If it was me, there'd be none going up. But I fear one of my housemates having the house to herself over the weekend will mean it will bear similarity to an explosion in a tinsel factory when I get back...

Question for those in the know - how much/what kind of decorations are appropriate for 2 professional straight guys sharing a well appointed but modestly sized house? No children will be visiting. Are there unwritten rules about this kind of thing?

well my tree is artificial, I found it in the loft a couple of weeks ago. I think 'real' trees can do the full month, if you dont have them in front of a fire and keep spraying them with glue hehe.

There's a few buck eejits at the housing estate near me back home who put their decorations up on the 1st November as soon as their haloween decorations come down. They plaster their house in lights, tinsel and stupid, 4ft high illuminating flashing santa figures. :(

That's impressive. The worst offenders near my uni house waited until November 24th to set up the biggest single household drain to the National Grid.

When I was younger I was told that Christmas decorations would turn into goblins if you didn't take them down before 13th January.

Must have been because I wanted to keep them up for ages.
They scared me ****less after I was told that. :(

I go past a house on the way to work that has them up all year.
