Show us your current MPG

Looking at used prices, you're paying another grand for an IMA civic over a normal one. People harp on about diesels being more expensive to buy, but they're never 20% more.

Thing is you can not buy that shape in non hybrid format as a UK car.

The only clueless comment was down to the fact your self introduced MPG figures for a Focus were conflicting with your own comments. :)

My point was I'm not convinced, compare it to a 1.6 and it only slighty betters it in economy terms. The op said his usage profile is long journeys, dual carriagewys and the like. My old 1.8 accord does 40 with that sort of use, i fail to believe a smaller car with a smaller more modern engine couldnt touch 50.

Its only once a week I do the long journey, rest of the time it is dual carriage way but with a number of stop and starts, with a lot of town driving also.

If I did do primarily motorway driving I could infact hit 60+ MPG, I have hit 62mpg or 64MPG i beleive it was doing that 120 mile motorway journey but then I do not do that constantly so its not a real life figure for me type of true usuage.

Next week I will reset the trip before I go and aim for atleast 60 MPG :D

Filled up today and had an average on the previous tank of 66.12 MPG. This was a mixture of town driving and A roads / dual carriage ways. Fiesta 1.4 TDCi

Thirsty car is thirsty!

Getting a reasonable 50mpg from my Golf GTD, 80% motorway but it usually gets floored everywhere else. Would probably get more like 55 if I was nice to it but meh :)

Can people please say what car it is along with the image? looking at random pictures without knowing the model is rather annoying :p

i'd love to know too. Spent the past 10 minutes searching the net and cant for the life of me work out what car its from !

Resetting your trip, driving your diesel golf down a hill and taking a picture at the bottom.... Doing it wrong.

Hammering your s4 and taking an accurate picture of the consumption.... Doing it right :D
