Sure, I could have put this in GD or Home & Garden but as a gamer, there would have been a lot of stuff not so relevant (Especially GD, honestly, it is scary).
I will be embarking on some home improvements over the course of the next year. Lots of stuff to do.
One of the areas needing to be redone is where my gaming PC resides.
I currently have an Ikea Malm type desk and it "Does the job" but is far from perfect. I like using dual screens, big mouse mat, 3 speakers for 5.1 system on desk, does not really work.and to be honest, could do with being a bit deeper.
I have some ideas about what I want to do but thought I might be able to get some inspiration. Mood lighting, cable management built into the desk etc.
I am thinking merging the desk into a corner unit/shelf system but not sure how best to do that yet.
All I know right now is that I want to design something myself so I can chose the exact fit for the house and what I need without the "compromise" of an "off the shelf" design.
Input welcome from experiences of anyone else who has done the same thing for their gaming rig and any wisdom you can impart from either mistakes made and knowledge gained.
