That's a gorgeous dog mate, theres a Rotty at the animal rescue centre we volenteer at, and he's absolutley lovely, got a great temprament n everything

Speaking of overfed dogs, just need to get this off my chest. The bf's mum has got a 12 week old King Charles puppy. Their last dog was 38% overweight and they swore they wouldn't make the same mistake with the new pup.
We went round last night and his mum happily told us that she'd just given the puppy a quarter of a caramel wafer to chew on...covered in chocolate...She also gave her scrambled eggs and a bit of cheese for dinner 'just to see if she likes them'. Of course she bloomin' does, she's going to eat anything!! She also had 3 rawhide sticks in her bed and a load of biscuit down. Plus her regular meals.
And I have to stand back and hold my tongue, when what I really want to say is 'YOU'RE GOING TO KILL HER, IT'S ANIMAL CRUELTY!!!'

Agreed, flippin' tell them! His mum sounds stupid enough not to get any sutble hints you'll be dropping.
Nope it's just a bad pictiure, Sumo is just has always been a chunky Pug ever since we got him. Sumo gets exactly the same food as my other pug Mylo and rarely get any treats, on the rare occasion they do it's generally a gravy bone biscuit which are tiny. I'm very careful what they eat and they always get plenty of walks.

You can see that Sumo has a lot of extra folds it's just his pedigree.

I don't know a lot about pugs but the original pugs have less folds, is that true? I have heard because of in breeding the actual breed standard has warped so much.
The same with GSD's and the sloping back which is why I would never buy a show GSD, only working lines.

From my experience and research when I was buying Pugwash, it is very common and normal for Boys to be a bit chubbier and have a fuller body, No matter how much you feed them. Girls do tend to be a bit Skinnier.
The issue with "Lines" with Pugs, is theres no "Working Line" as such, because they were purely bred as a Toy dog, to sit there looking Pretty. So your only option really is one from a Show Line. All the Pugs I have seen on here pretty much conform to the British Standard for a Pug, nothing wrong with any of them.
Sumo looks almost identical to Pugwash, I would imagine he has a very similar breeding line..
Anyway - onto one of our new Family Members to be! One of them shall be named NomNom, the one we will be keeping
