Rover 213S. 12 months MOT and 3 months tax and it only set me back £150
It's taken me to Manchester and back three times, and Leicester twice without faltering. Handles like a bag of sick and revs to 8,000 rpm without even a hint of valve bounce. Sounds like a swarm of hornets at full chat.
This is what you call budget motoring!

[Oh, and yes they are Weller rally wheels originally off my old Nova]

Nine months of relentless thrashing later and it's still alive. Just.
Switched back to standard wheels because the Wellers induced mental torque steer (!)

£150 well spent methinks.

Cheers guys, yeah it came from France originally so it's LHD. If anyone (ha!) sees a LHD dashboard in even half tidy condition let me know ;)

I could have bought one of these for £300 when I was 17, but insurance was astronomical. Now I had to pay a lot more than £300 to buy the car but the insurance is £97 a year. Being old has it's ups and downs.
