Show Us Your Motors!

@Vita, what happened? I remember when you used to be cool

Life. Kids. Inflation.

I’ve had good experience with my first one as I used it for work. It did me well and I thought I may as well carry on.

I considered silly vehicles, M5s/RS6s, lots of hot hatches etc but in the end I was just ‘meh’.

I used to really enjoy driving but when it’s taken most of your working life, you kind of just want something that makes you forget you’re driving. A soulless vehicle does just that.

You could at least not buy the ugliest EV ever made, by the most problematic EV manufacturer ever to exist. :p

Go and buy a Honda E, goodness. :p

It’s not that bad.

You remove people from FB for using laughing emojis against your posts.

Problematic EV manufacturer? Sorry what? Since when? Problamatic?

Have you ever stood in the mirror and looked at yourself, and considered the only problematic is when you buy vehicles from reliable car manufacturers and royally f them up?

Hush yourself bruv.

I know what you mean. As a car combined with a piece of technology, Tesla's are great at what they do. I'm very impressed with mine and I've come from cars that would typically be considered superior. The fact it costs peanuts to run is a rather large bonus, admittedly!

Reliability + running costs were a big factor in my decision. The Y is much better built than the Fremont built 3. I’d say the Y is all the car you need if you require an EV. OTA updates are great I’ve never had an issue.

I’m not a fan of Elon but his engineers have made a good product. It’s just a shame they’ve used felt tips to colour in the cars as the paint is just that thin.

Wow, what a post! Clearly touched a nerve there I guess. :p

Off to the Tesla washing machine thread with you. ;)

Nah, it was all in banter mate. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. If you ever get the chance to drive one, do, your opinion might change.

A couple of mods for the Mustang.

Designed some Mach1-like rings for the front and mounted smoked spotlights inside them. Going for an old-school look with this. Added dive boards to the lower bumper skin.

Replaced the tail lights with proper, sequential ones with a light smoke. Also replaced the orange side reflectors with smoked items as well as the fog light lens. Ignore fake CF spoiler. It's a cheapie that I bought check fitment on the convertible which has a different profile on the boot lid. I didn't want to spend £££ and then find I couldn't make it fit.

You wouldn't believe it was detailed less than a week ago. The rain we had yesterday seemed to be 50% water, 50% sand.

Haha alright.

A model S or even a 3 though not a Y, I have standards. :p

Yep, still jealous :)

Looking great

Got the old ****box de-cancered and painted in red, with new wheels and a LOAD of extra parts I fancied :).

Crazy to see how MX5s can rot so badly. Did Mazda/Ford just not galvanise or undersell properly?
The sills rot inside out, so when they look a bit rubbish they are really knackered. I don't think the insides were sealed properly.
Ironically mine is (was?) a good one. Imported 2005 (Japs do not use rock salt like we do) and I owned since 2012 so SORN each winter.
I simply love what the car is - Gearboxes I have seen for £25. Engines <£400. Cambelt snaps - You only break down. Never the coolest car, but fun fun fun and cheap.
The turbo I added helps too mind...

Do you have the details for the sequential lights? Fancy changing the ones on my Bullitt.

Home after 2000 miles of driving some truly amazing roads around Colmar and Alsace in France and Black Forest in Germany.

McLarens were both flawless averaging 30mpg at 85mph on autoroutes and incredible fun on France’s and Germany like glass pot hole free winding mountain roads which were so quiet, epic fun!

Nearly 20,000 done in my ownership now and still loving it. Car went down a storm with French and German locals, absolutely losing their minds seeing two 600 LT MSO Spiders together.

No plans to let it go as simply nowhere to go other supercars don’t compare and the modern stuff they are churning out now I’ve no desire to own.

Truly epic car, carbon tub, go up doors, hydraulic steering. Epic sound track to driver with no fake noise, comfortable and economic on a cruise and still scares me when unleashing all 600 horses in a car that only weighs 1400kg! There will never be another car like it, hence why the values for good examples are on the up.

Pretty much my ideal two car garage for now (barring a lottery win)

S2000 is a long term keeper and the ST is the perfect do it all every day car. Wouldn't mind an FK8 or FL5 at some point mind you but the ST is cheap to run and maintain and a huge amount of fun to chuck about.
