Show Us Your Motors!

So, had some time today. I now remember why I don't use my DA so much. Takes absolutely ages to do even a small car.

Anyway, I hadn't machine polished the Edition 30 since I bought it last August. 7 hours later, finally finished. Nothing too exciting, just snowfoam, wash, DA polish, sealant, then treated the glass to G-Techniq G6 and G4 (then G6 again, it already has G1 on it).

So, was unsure where to put these pics. What I done today? Car cleaning? Here? So I put them here.











The nice deep shine doesn't show up so well on a camera phone. I took some pics with the DSLR too, but need to get them off the camera first.

Yes, splitter, bumper and passenger door need looking at by a bodyshop.

I can't see anything on the door, but the front splitter (or lower bumper valance) has stone chipping, and one of the rubbing strip parts of the upper front bumper has lacquer peel.
 
The bottom of the passenger door has been hit off something, like a kerb or something, breaking the paint, and now beginning to rust slightly, so not ideal.

The splitter is a mess. It has been banged into kerbs in a couple places, and so does need fixing.

It's not laquer peel on the bumper. It must be a dodgy paint job previously or something, as it came off with the pressure washer.

If I'm honest, the sills and rear drivers arch also need doing. Then it should be good. But the 3 I mentioned originally are by far the worst bits of the bodywork.

Probably a bit picky of me, as it is a 10 year old car, so wont be perfect. But otherwise I do think it looks great.

Not taken by me and bonus points to anyone who spots the Viper prowling in the background, following it caused my entire car to vibrate but thats the effect of nearly a 10l V10. :D

What have they done to the Viper to get it to almost 10L?
 
I'm definitely no expert but that seemed like a lot extra to get from boring. I didn't realise they started out life as 8.4L, I thought they were all 8L

No I just forgot what engine size they were, so there ya go it was an 8.4l V10, following it was a joy, I think the earth rotated a little everytime he pulled away and Ford build quality is not so bad as my car remained in one piece, crazy how it causes your car to vibrate sitting behind it. :D
