I am also surprised the ecoboost is quoted as being that slow as my Saab 9-5 Aero only has 10 extra bhp yet will do the 0-60 dash a whole second and a half quicker and is also a heavier car . Not to mention the ford has a dual clutch transmission!

It isn't the briskest of DCTs and it's a bit sluggish off the line. Once moving it'll, well, move.

E90 which is the correct generation the best 4 cylinder diesel is high 7s whereas an ecoboost Mondeo might be similar 0-60 due to drive train but in the real world it would be faster.

Thats not what you meant though is it, people are generally not financing 10 year old 320d's. The finance deal special 320d's are new cars.

No what I meant was why there is very few well specced petrol models available to buy as we were discussing the mk4 whilst there is a plethora of BMW 4 cylinder diesels. There is no denying that it is even worse now however.

Well you couldn't do that with the E39. :p

Do you have to grab hold of the air ducts on the 'bonnet' and pull it out? :p

Hahaha no - those bales are just in temporarily before being given away/binned. Just enough room to get in now although carpet will be on the walls this weekend :)

Yeah no hope of the E39 making it in (easily at least!)
