Show Us Your Motors!

Just bought this 1975 Silver Shadow. Going to ship it from the Southampton to Galveston TX, get it trailered from Galveston to Laredo TX, then import it officially and drive it over to Monterrey. Wish me luck :D

Either very brave or very foolish.

Good luck!

I think it shouldn't be too terrible but famous last words and all that. I can get parts from the UK / US, and labour is about £10-15 per hour here which should help when something breaks. I already paid to have it inspected in the UK and it got a clean bill of health - I wasn't brave enough to go for a properly cheap one with issues as tempting as they can be.

I already have money set aside for the inevitable bribes I'll have to pay to get it passed through the border and registered with no issues. The cheapest one already registered here is 32k, I paid 7k for this one so there's a fair bit of margin to cover any unexpected issues.

That is badass @geekman - or should we say geekgentleman now?

Is it in good nick or a bit rough?

Pretty good nick - one wheel arch repair with a poor colour match and a little bubbling below one of the windows. Seat belt light stays on at all times and there's a slight misting of oil from the pan which doesn't seem to drip on the ground. It's been resprayed at some point in the past but it looks like they did a pretty decent job. Recent bills for brake, suspension and general servicing work which is nice. I'm sure I'll find plenty of stuff to keep me busy when it finally arrives.

Alfa looks mint @Gibbo . :)

Couple of weekends ago, drive out to Sawbridgeworth for their Coffee and Cars morning, was a bit foggy first thing.
