Quick pic from the other day when I picked it up, not had much chance to play with it yet as I'm back in work till the weekend. Not really planning on doing anything with it other than enjoying it for a while. Will probably swap the mirror caps to black ones as I think it'll suit better, but that's about it.
This is properly nice.

Like it so far. Glad to be back in a hot hatch, tried the warm estate thing and just didn't float my boat. It's mostly base spec except for a few things, but honestly it as everything I'd probably want except for a couple of creature comforts (heated steering wheel etc). The one thing I'm missing is a reversing camera, but I can add the OE one in myself I think so I'll do that in a few months.
One thing I'm not so sure on yet is the engine noise. I'm not sure how much of it is actually the engine or the soundaktor. I'm going to pick up OBD11 soon so will try and lower the soundaktor volume and see what I think.

I would say the Mk7.5 Is rather well equipped as standard, VW do Reverse Camera's well as they are covered which I took for granted until having our Yaris Cross - Constantly filthy, fogged up and rained on meaning it ends up being useless at times.
When I had my 7.5 GTD I changed the mirror caps, the clips are extremely flimsy and being heavy handed I broke one! So be careful when you attempt it.
I'm in the camp where I would agree Black Mirror Caps would look much nicer than the standard silver ones. After the mirror caps are you getting black badges all round to match?

Yeah, as standard it had everything I wanted pretty much. I could live without a reverse camera, but seems easy enough to add and not too expensive. And yeah, the hidden behind the badge cam should keep it clean which is a bonus.
I'll be leaving the VW badges as is, will probably/maybe remove the rear R badge and black out the front one. Did think about removing the front R badge, but leaves a visible hole.
I actually used "Stickers" for my GTD Lettering - Sounds naff! But they leave a slightly chrome around the outline like VW OEM GTI etc and I was much more happier with them than I anticipated to be, didn't want to have to remove badges, re-apply etc just wanted something easy to revert back.
They didn't lift either, many snowfoams, citrus washes and jet washes no issues.
Despite all that - Enjoy it, as mentioned great colour choice! Very jealous.. We do have one thing in common though as I am driving a "Brass Gold" car around today.

Yeah that's what I'm looking at (ezmods), will leave it as is for now and get it properly detailed etc - then I'll decide if I still want to black it out or leave it standard. I tend to have a habit of when I get a new car running into all the possibilities at 100mph and end up with loads of wasted products/money. So I'm trying to do as little as possible this time around

I originally ordered their front badge kit but found it very tricky to apply, so what I did was wrapped the main badge Gloss Black and used the EZMODS Inlay to get the below results.

Gave it a quick wash to get rid of the salt and grime, will be dirty again tomorrow!
Get some winter tyres and you can plough the roads when snow falls.

The UK order book closed a few months ago, global production is ending in Sohari to re-tool for an EV, probably the EV9.

The Crown isn't best suited to the super rural place I live now. I'm not sure how long it will stay. I might replace it with a TVR once the garage is done.
