Show Us Your Motors!

Really good so far. I should have gone back to them once a year, but tbh, I've just been following the wash regime they advised and so far so good. If I'm honest, I do regret not getting at least a front end PPF applied though...changed jobs last year which means I have to commute by car again. Only a few days a week, but it's still a fair bit of motorway and I've picked up a few stone chips.

Yeah paintwork is like cheese. I have my fair amount of chips on the front already but then again I bought the car to enjoy. It is never going to be a show queen :). Touch up pen hides them more than enough though.

Kelly has left so I wouldn’t bother going back to be honest

PPF can be super helpful when trying to avoid stone chips :/

I didn't know that. I only ever dealt with Jay who seemed fine, but when I messaged about going back for a valet purely so they could check the coating to maintain it's warranty, he wasn't all that responsive when I said I didn't really have any problems. So I didn't push it further as just a valet would be expensive.
Tbh, I'm happy to just carry on doing what I'm doing - I wash the car with a good mitt, give it a spritz of CarPro Hyrdo2 Lite every couple of months, and rinse with a water filter so I touch the paintwork as little as possible.

Yes, I've made a rod for my own back by getting too much into detailing and stuff if I'm honest - little blemishes and stuff annoy me. A Chipex kit and bottle of blue T-Cut seems to do the job of hiding the worst of it.

You sure it's an X? Thought they all came with a sunroof?

Nope
Sunroof came in around 2023, this is a 69 plate

Certainly more powerful than the G engine i drove

EDIT//
Google seem to suggest 2021 for the sunroof

Ah okay, I stand corrected.

I had a G auto as a courtesy car and liked it but found it gutless so got a skyactiv-x. It is the perfect 'car'.

nice !
yep i found it gutless too
the X engine feels just right :)

the newer models they have updated the "G" engine to 140 BHP
and in the new 2025 model, its a 2.5L Engine

Mazda really make some decent cars at the moment. We've had our 2019 CX5 GT for 2 years now and it's been faultless. Driven it to Warsaw twice in that time and a fairly big tour of France last summer. It's comfortable, quick enough, well equipped, and even reasonably fun to drive.
It's a pity they don't do the 2.5 turbo in the UK though. That would be quite nice with 230bhp.

I've been tempted by these a few times, especially in that soul red colour, always gets a second glance from me when I see one.

I think they're probably one of the best looking 'normal' daily drivers IMO, though the back looks a bit funky (though I drive a C30 so can't really comment)
