Show Us Your Motors!

Hey I wont have that said - it's been a few months, not weeks :D

Anyway, my choice to sell was not related to the car itself, it could have been anything and I'd still be making the same decision - merely personal circumstance

:/

Finally some non mobile shots of my new (4 weeks now) 182. I washed and polished it again today.

After washing:

On the list of things to do:

New cat-back exhaust
Eibach Sportline springs
Speedline Turini alloys at some point
Paint brake callipers, probably just silver[/QUOTE]
Looks ace! But... stop making me want a 182!

First time I've washed my car in months, even gave it a very quick polish and wax, not that you'd notice after covering it in dust straight after haha.

Damn thing looks all colours in every pic, never quite took a pic where it looks consistently the same colour :) Annoying!

Mate that's a really tidy motor. I've a 2001 2.2 DTi SRi 130. Nowhere near as clean as yours though.

Its a hobby of mine, paint detailing, been doing it for years, and to be honest, really thinking of doing it full time, im getting more and more cars to do, my days off are all taken up with polishing lol, but i love it!!!! so that helps :)

Thanks for the kind comments though :)

My Jag XJR V8 Supercharger

Arhhh lovely ...I want ....gahh why did I get rid of mine :o ...an X308 too, the best looking of all :)

I don't know if it's just how it looks in the picture but yours looks like it could do with a damn good 'detail' (I hate that term but can't think of a better one so I'll go with it) for the summer. If you don't have the time or inclination, give a pro £200 and they'll make your car look better than new. Easy to maintain afterwards to with a good wax layer on it, I had that done on my X350 and it looked stunning afterwards. No point on the E39 as I have some ...err umm ...cough ...rust ...cough to sort out first.

Because your 540 is awesome? :)

It is yea, actually it's a lot more awsome now, bascially it nearly totally died after the meet, as you probably read, but now clearing all the adapation values (10 years of crap etc) out of the computer seems to have done absolute wonders. The throttle is more sensitive, the idle is stable and it pulls like a train (it's quicker and more effortless than when you saw it) ...a lot faster than my Jag was anyway. Although not as fast as a supercharged one. Oddly it even sounds different, which I don't really understand at all, but it does.
